Transforming Agricultural trade: NCMS empowers Northern Province Farmers

The implementation of the National Crop Management System (NCMS) marks a significant milestone for 2082 farmers in the Northern Province, thanks to a collaborative effort between DevPro, the Agriculture Skill Sector, and NCMS. This partnership has empowered farmers by establishing direct linkages with wholesalers and retailers through the NCMS application. By circumventing traditional intermediaries, farmers now benefit from streamlined access to essential supplies and services at discounted rates directly from suppliers.

DevPro’s collaboration with the Agriculture Skill Sector has been instrumental in training and capacitating farmers to effectively utilize the NCMS platform. Through tailored programs and workshops, DevPro has enhanced farmers’ understanding of modern agricultural practices, GAP certification processes, and sustainable farming techniques. This holistic approach not only fosters economic resilience among farmers but also promotes environmental sustainability and equitable market access.

The synergy between DevPro, the Agriculture Skill Sector, and NCMS underscores a commitment to enhancing agricultural productivity and profitability in the Northern Province. By leveraging technology and expertise, this partnership continues to pave the way for a more inclusive and efficient agricultural ecosystem, benefiting farmers and stakeholders alike.
