As part of the GCF Knuckles Project, DevPro is currently providing technical advisory support to the National Enterprise Development Authority (NEDA) on developing practical and implementable shared infrastructure models to strengthen climate-resilient enterprise development in the Knuckles Region.
The proposed infrastructure models are designed with a strong focus on sustainability, innovation, and long-term impact. These recommendations include technical design considerations, environmental and social safeguards, digital integration strategies, and investment planning approaches, with particular emphasis on 𝐏𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜–𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩𝐬 (𝐏𝐏𝐏𝐬) as a pathway for sustainable and efficient management.
To ensure that these models are well aligned with Sri Lanka’s national priorities and policy directions related to the digital economy and PPPs, DevPro conducted a series of high-level stakeholder consultations with national policymakers and key institutions.
We were pleased to meet with 𝐌𝐫. 𝐖𝐚𝐫𝐮𝐧𝐚 𝐒𝐫𝐢 𝐃𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐩𝐚𝐥𝐚, 𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐃𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐦𝐲, to discuss the government’s vision for digital transformation and opportunities for integrating digital solutions into regional enterprise development.
In addition, discussions were held with 𝐃𝐫. 𝐒𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐤𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐚 𝐉𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐚, 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐏𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜–𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩𝐬 (𝐍𝐀𝐏𝐏𝐏) 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐨𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐈𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 (𝐁𝐎𝐈), to better understand national policy frameworks and investment strategies that can support sustainable infrastructure development and private sector engagement.
These consultations provided valuable insights that will contribute towards developing inclusive, resilient, and future-ready infrastructure models for the Knuckles Region.
