As 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐏𝐫𝐨 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐦 commences the Shared Infrastructure and Resource Assessment in Kandy, Matale, Puttalam, Kurunegala and Anuradhapura districts, under the 𝐆𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐂𝐥𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐅𝐮𝐧𝐝 (𝐆𝐂𝐅) 𝐊𝐧𝐮𝐜𝐤𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭, we were pleased to participate in a preliminary stakeholder discussion convened by the 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐞 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐀𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲 (𝐍𝐄𝐃𝐀) in Polgolla yesterday.
The GCF Knuckles Project is a transformative environmental and social initiative in Sri Lanka aiming to generate resilient livelihoods and improved food security for smallholder and subsistence farmers through capacity to adapt to climate induced change in critical upstream and downstream rural communities including protection of the ecosystem flows that connect them.
The introductory meeting facilitated effective interaction and dialogue among project stakeholders resulting in shared vision and understanding of project objectives and implementation structure as well as stronger collaboration among stakeholders within the Knuckles region in the Kandy and Matale districts towards accelerated project implementation.
