DevPro, as the Implementing Partner of the International Labour Organization’s (ILO) 𝐖𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧’𝐬 𝐄𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 (𝐖𝐄-𝐑) 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐦𝐞, successfully conducted the Phase 1 Residential Training of Trainers (ToT) from 28–30 July 2026 at MAS Athena, Thulhiriya.
The training brought together 30 participants representing the Women Development Officers (WDO), Small Enterprise Development Division (SEDD), Department of Industries, Department of Social Services, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise (MSME) sector, National Enterprise Development Authority (NEDA), and women’s organizations.
The programme strengthened participants’ facilitation skills and knowledge in areas including adult learning, entrepreneurship, gender roles, wellbeing, resilience, and practical training delivery.
Building the capacity of trainers is a vital step towards creating stronger support systems for women entrepreneurs. Through the WE-R Programme, DevPro continues to promote inclusive entrepreneurship and resilient communities.
