DevPro is pleased to partner with Chrysalis in supporting the implementation of the IGNITE Project through a series of capacity-building workshops aimed at strengthening the knowledge, skills, and resilience of Producer Groups across the Badulla, Monaragala, Hambantota, and Matara Districts.
Over the past two days, Producer Group members actively participated in practical and interactive training sessions on Livelihood Execution, Entrepreneurship and Advocacy, focusing on:
- Understanding Producer Groups as community enterprises
- Income, expenditure and profit calculation
- Financial literacy and record keeping
- Income diversification and value addition opportunities
- Understanding markets and buyers
- Collective marketing and negotiation skills
- Accessing government and private sector services
- Advocacy and collective action
The workshops were designed using participatory learning approaches, enabling participants to share experiences, identify challenges, explore solutions, and develop practical actions to strengthen their livelihoods and Producer Groups.
We are encouraged by the enthusiasm, commitment, and active engagement demonstrated by participants as they work towards building stronger enterprises, improved market linkages, enhanced resilience, and sustainable economic growth within their communities.
Together with Chrysalis, the IGNITE Project team, district coordinators, and all Producer Group, we continue to empower communities, strengthen local economies, and promote inclusive and resilient development.
