DevPro Participates in the Asia Preparedness Partnership Meeting 2026

How do we prepare for evolving disaster risks and the changing humanitarian landscape in Asia?

Our team member, 𝐓. 𝐒𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐞𝐬, joined the 𝐀𝐬𝐢𝐚 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, convened by 𝐎𝐗𝐅𝐀𝐌 𝐢𝐧 𝐀𝐬𝐢𝐚, 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝟐𝟗–𝟑𝟎 𝐉𝐮𝐥𝐲 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 𝐢𝐧 𝐁𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐤𝐨𝐤, bringing together humanitarian partners from across the region to strengthen regional preparedness in the face of increasing climate risks, disasters, conflict, displacement, and other emerging humanitarian challenges.

The meeting focused on developing a shared regional preparedness strategy, strengthening collaboration among partners, aligning humanitarian preparedness and response systems, and establishing a collective roadmap to enhance resilience across Asia.

Discussions underscored that climate change, conflict, displacement, rapid urbanization, and shifting funding landscapes are increasing humanitarian risks and uncertainty across the region. As these challenges become more complex, preparedness can no longer be organization-centric; it must be networked, anticipatory, and regionally connected. The meeting also emphasized that feminist local humanitarian leadership and equitable partnerships are fundamental to building effective, inclusive, and sustainable preparedness systems.

At DevPro, we recognize that strengthening resilience requires collective action, collaboration, and locally led solutions. We look forward to working closely with OXFAM in Asia and partners across the region to advance regional preparedness and strengthen the resilience of communities across Asia.
