Multi-stakeholder dialogue on dairy sector development

Multi-stakeholder dialogue on dairy sector development

As a part of ILO GROW Project contextual analysis. our team carried out stakeholder and community consultations this week in Vavuniya, Kilinochchi and Mullaitivu districts bringing together women from diverse livelihood backgrounds including farmers, small business owners and women entrepreneurs with disabilities, financial institutions, Central Bank and other government officials, private sector entities, ensuring inclusive representation across different livelihood groups and vulnerability categories.
The discussions focused on adaptation of the ILO’s Women Entrepreneurs are Resilient (WE-R) training materials and the integration of financial inclusion content creating a safe and participatory space for women to share their experiences related to business challenges, social norms, access to markets, financial behavior, and the use of digital platforms such as social media.
Insights generated through these consultations are directly informing the adaptation of the ILO’s WE-R training materials and the integration of financial inclusion content, ensuring that the final training toolkit reflects the lived realities, needs, and coping strategies of women entrepreneurs in Sri Lanka’s Northern Province.
