Driven by financial necessity, Yamuna Rajapaksha started mushroom cultivation in 2014 with limited resources. Lacking formal training, she struggled to grow her business until joining Oxfam’s training in 2020. With support from DevPro, she gained business skills and essential equipment, boosting production. Now supplying supermarkets and hotels with 50-60 packets daily, Yamuna employs two people and is set to launch mushroom sausages while exploring new markets. Her journey showcases the power of training, resilience, and strategic support in transforming women-led agribusinesses.
